Hi, I’m James Weintz, an independent health, life, and Medicare advisor based in Florida.

My path into insurance was shaped by family, responsibility, and a desire to help people navigate important decisions with confidence. My father spent many years as a carpenter before later building an insurance business focused on helping individuals and families find the right coverage for their needs. After he passed away at the age of 64, I took over the family business to continue the work he cared deeply about and help support my mom.

That experience gave me a very personal perspective on the importance of insurance. I saw firsthand how critical health coverage can be during serious medical situations after my father experienced both a heart attack and stroke later in life. I also saw how life insurance helped provide financial stability for my mom during an incredibly difficult time. Those experiences reinforced why I believe people deserve honest guidance, clear explanations, and someone who will help them understand their options before major life events happen.

I don’t believe insurance should feel like a sales experience. As a second-generation insurance professional, I believe coverage should be explained clearly and honestly so clients can make informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed or pressured. My goal is to provide straightforward guidance, answer questions honestly, and help people feel confident about choosing coverage that fits their needs.

Before transitioning fully into insurance, I spent years working across banking, technology, analytics, and customer service roles. My background includes experience in personal banking, technology support, programming, and data analytics with companies such as SunTrust, American Chartered Bank, and GEICO. Those experiences shaped the way I approach insurance today by focusing on problem-solving, education, and personalized guidance instead of one-size-fits-all recommendations.

As an independent advisor, I work with multiple insurance carriers to help clients explore Marketplace and off-marketplace health insurance, Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans, life insurance, dental and vision coverage, critical illness plans, and small business group benefits.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids and staying involved with my local church, where I assist with website management and audio production.
